Latest news from thailand's news telecast. Kruba noi was arrested by the police for employment of assassin against a male student. The monk was reportedly involved in a relationship scandal with a woman. The monk ordered assassin to take After the male student life as he was wooing the woman as well.

The above news was just released from thailand news telecasted, think it will be released soon the news.

i was driving when my thai friend call me to tell me about this news. he read the news on TV and only let me know as only Kruba Noi. which temple i forgot to ask him. i will check it out and come back to u. I not sure how many Kruba Noi in chiangmai have.

ChiangMai Police arresting Khrubar Noy Anawiro aka Anucha Narlai, 24 years old, abbot of Wat Phayak Donkaew in a murder complication.

Following the shooting of Amornpan Chamnikrai, 17, at the temple entrance on Wednesday, the victim's girlfriend, identified as "Kwang" (not her real name), 19, told Doi Sa Ket police Amornpan came to pick her up after work. While they were passing the temple, a white Toyota car that had tailed them sped up and parked at the temple entrance. The assailants got out of the car and shot Amornpan.

Kwang admitted she dated Khruba Noi, now 24, but kept a distance after he became a monk. She said she had started seeing Amornpan two weeks prior to the shooting but the boy had been threatened by the monk to end the relationship with "Kwang".

Police investigators initially found that Khruba Noi called another girlfriend to pick them up and ordered Phra Amphon to shoot the victim.

Both Khruba Noi and Phra Amphon have been defrocked, although they deny any wrong-doing.

The monk was well-known due to his reputation as a fortune teller, and as a follower of the late Khruba Sriwichai, as well as meditating for seven days in a cave while not eating.

It seems like a trend nowadays.
Many new temples springing up especially in the rural.

When monks even having low/junior monastic titles and accreditations, have the support of the well-to-do laypeople or comes from a wealthy family background, can afford to build/construct temples for them, the monk then becomes the Abbot, especially in the rural areas.

It is time for the laypeople and village folks to open their eyes wide, to offer shelter only to ones worthy of our reverence...

Sometimes the stress and pressures that comes from the expectations of such a high profile job will take its toll on the mind and cause mental illness. I think he was not of sound mind when he commit the crime....pity the loss of life :crying:

If I have not mistaken Kruba Srivichai only left a luksit by the name of kruba DuangDee and Kruba Kristada/Kruba Boon chum.
I hope the Judge and the legal can clear the mis understand of the famous Treravada buddhism of the golden triangle and not giving chances other religion to tarnish the pure buddism reputation.
