Its a shame that awards are based on number rather than quality.

Anyone one can make posts but very few can make a valuable contribution. It is on this basis that awards should be given

Some more thought to this award system is required as in its current form it lacks any serious credibility

I would personally like to suggest that you be a little more innovative in your thoughts. the current system is dull and boring.

Personally i would like to suggest that you base this award rating on the feedback to eacjh post by fellow members. Using such a system is far more relevant and accurately reflects the value of the users posts.

Hmm, perhaps a suggestion to have another sort of member classification. Based on my calculation, there is 24 hrs in a day, and 24 x 60 x 60 s in a day. So if someone has a speed of posting of 1 post/sec and if they live past 100, then you should give the postings that exceed 30 million post a year( equivalent to century old), Lau Kok Kok member. So hope everyone will be able to live a ripe old age and see each other as Lau Kok Kok member.

Just for fun! Happy CNY!

Your calculation could be wrong as there is a mandatory 30sec time interval between 2 consecutive posts. Happy new year.

Its obvious you do not have the slightest idea how a vbulletin-based php forum works, that this forum is running on. Its entirely different from a typical amulet sales website where all data and info is inputted through 1 person and thats the webmaster. In a forum, any mother's son can just register and post.

Of course any mentally sound people will know the differences between quantity versus quality, who dont want to post quality posts? But in reality, you tel me which public forum in this world can achieve that? You talking about valuable contribution? You tell me, what makes a valuable and constructive contribution?

As far s I know, the so called awards is just the forum's way of organising the members into different levels in terms of number of posts, reputation posts, etc, but hor I tell you it doesnt mean such people with high number of posts or high reps means they are good or knowledgeable, they may know nothing at all. :D
