This are the differences between a genuine and a low end fake piece.

http://i36.photobucket.com/albums/e17/Somdej/7a5e24e8.jpg

a. Buddha head tip. The genuine piece shows a clear and distinctive tip while the fake piece is not sharp.

b. Marking below Budda's seat. The most tell tale sign of a typical Pae Sam Somdej. The marking on the fake piece is deliberately made so obvious that it is so thick. A thin line is usually seen on a genuine piece.

c. Bell (or in layman terms 'omega'). Not defined and sharp. Seemed in clustered loose form.

Overall, the material used in this fake piece seemed to be made of very low end loose coarse materials. The overall front of the Somdej looked shallow, all corners and cuts are not distinctive and clear.

For the back,

d. Ear of Luang Phor image. The depression is not deep.

e. Robe line of Luang Phor. Faint or no line on the fake piece.

Overall, the entire Luang Phor Pae image looked shallow. No distinctive corners and cuts too. The "Pae" and "Pan" writings looked as if they were not imprinted. Low end fake.

I have no documents or poster to share with you for Somdej Pan amulets of Luang Phor Pae, just hereditary knowledge from 555 who taught me everything he knew. Perhaps you can join us in this coming friday gathering, will love to share and also learn more from you.

Regards

Mine like yours has very sharp front and back, but I got it from a friend who is very old now and he used to collect direct from Thai temple when he was younger. I'm confident it was real, have faith in your amulate bro
